CONVENTION

supplementing the Convention between the European Economic Community and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) concerning aid to refugees in the countries of the Near East

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

of the one part, and

THE UNITED NATIONS RELIEF AND WORKS AGENCY FOR PALESTINE REFUGEES (UNRWA),

of the other part,

CONSIDERING that the Convention between the European Economic Community and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) concerning aid to refugees in the countries of the Near East, signed on 17 February 1982, should be supplemented,

HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The Convention between the European Economic Community and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) concerning aid to refugees in the countries of the Near East is hereby supplemented by Annex III which appears in the Annex hereto. Annex III shall form an integral part of the Convention of 17 February 1982.

Article 2

This Convention is drawn up in two copies in the Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek and Italian languages, each version being equally authentic.

'ANNEX III

PERIOD 1 JANUARY TO 31 DECEMBER 1983

1. Contributions in kind

Programme for distribution of rations to particularly needy cases

- 258 tonnes of skimmed-milk powder enriched with vitamins,

- 630 tonnes of butteroil,

- 420 tonnes of tomato paste,

- 420 tonnes of burghol,

- 571 tonnes of preserved meat.

Supplementary feeding programme

- 1 135 tonnes of skimmed-milk powder enriched with vitamins,

- 257 tonnes of butteroil.

Feeding programme in training centres

- 25 tonnes of skimmed-milk powder enriched with vitamins,

- 52 tonnes of butteroil,

- 82 tonnes of legumes,

- 45 tonnes of burghol,

- 30 tonnes of olive oil,

- 23 tonnes of tomato paste,

- 3 tonnes of tea.
